Sunday, Game 1
MCC started strong, scoring three runs in the first inning, highlighted by a 2-run home run from Broxton Cole. The Wolves added another run in the second inning, leading 4-0. St. Charles fought back, scoring one run in each of the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings, narrowing the score to 4-3 by the bottom of the sixth. MCC responded with a crucial 3-run home run by Zack Craft, extending their lead to 7-3. Although St. Charles rallied in the seventh, they only managed two runs, ending the game with a 7-5 victory for the Wolves.
Sunday, Game 2
The second game turned into a pitcher's duel, with both teams remaining scoreless for the first three innings. In the fourth, each team scored one run. Tied at 1-1 heading into the fifth, MCC erupted for four runs, including a solo home run by Carter Belton. Each team added a run in the following two innings, making it 6-2. However, the eighth inning proved disastrous for MCC, as St. Charles scored 11 runs. Despite one additional run from the Wolves, they lost 13-7.
Monday, Game 1
The game got off to a hot start offensively for both teams. St. Charles scored one run in each of the first two innings, while MCC responded with two runs in each of the first two innings, including a two-RBI single by Jackson Bell. MCC increased their lead to 5-2 in the third inning. Although St. Charles scored one run in the sixth, MCC added three insurance runs, in part thanks to another two-RBI single from Bell. The game concluded with MCC winning 8-3.
Monday, Game 2
The second game of the day saw another pitching showdown. Tre Judd limited St. Charles to just two runs over six innings, while his counterpart held MCC to only one run. Entering the bottom of the eighth, MCC trailed 2-1. Broxton Cole then hit a pivotal 2-run home run, giving the Wolves a 3-2 lead. Bronco Witt closed out the game, allowing just one hit in the final three innings, securing the victory and a 3-1 series win for MCC.
