The MCC Wolves took on the State Fair Community College Roadrunners in a four-game series.
Game 1
Both teams struck early, each scoring a run in the first inning. The Wolves kept the momentum going with three runs in the second, highlighted by RBI singles from Chase Phillips and Carter Belton. State Fair responded with two runs in both the third and fifth innings to take the lead. Luke Meredith put MCC back in front with a three-run home run in the fifth, and the Wolves added four more runs in the sixth to secure an 11–5 victory.
Game 2
The Wolves dominated game two from the start. MCC broke things open with six runs in the second inning, highlighted by a three-run home run from Carson Schmidt. State Fair managed single runs in the third and fourth innings, but the Wolves responded with a seven-run fifth. Home runs from Zack Craft and Schmidt helped power MCC to a 13–2 win.
Game 3
After a slow start offensively, State Fair struck first with two runs in the third inning. MCC cut the deficit in half with a run in the fifth, but the Roadrunners answered with a run of their own. The Wolves' offense came alive late, scoring five runs in the sixth and four in the seventh to take a 10–3 lead. MCC held State Fair in check the rest of the way to secure the win. Luke Meredith led the Wolves with three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs.
Game 4
MCC jumped out to an early 1–0 lead before State Fair answered with two runs in the second inning. The Wolves tied the game in the third, and both teams added a run in the fifth. The Roadrunners regained the lead in the seventh, but MCC responded with a four-run eighth inning to take control. State Fair added runs in both the eighth and ninth innings, but the Wolves held on for a 7–6 victory. The Wolves were powered by home runs from Eden Myers and Shane Barnett as MCC completed the series sweep of a regional opponent.
