21-22 NJCAA Region XVI First & Second Team All-Region Awards

MCC Wolves Men's Soccer had two players selected for 21-22 NJCAA Region XVI All-Region Awards. James Perkins (Right), a sophomore from Lees Summit West High School, was selected to the NJCAA Region XVI First Team All-Region for the second time. James is a three-year starter and team captain, selected for his technical, heady and hard-nosed play. James will earn his AA Degree after the fall 2021 semester and is being recruited by multiple programs. His preferred choice is Columbia College, where he wants to study business management.

Shabani Usseni (Left), a freshman from East High School, was voted by region coaches to the NJCAA Region XVI Second Team All-Region for his productive first year campaign for the MCC Wolves. Shabani played in 14 games for the Wolves, scoring six goals and creating one assist. His point total (13) led all MCC players during the fall 2021 season. Shabani is a dynamic dribbler and excellent finisher who is already looking forward to adding to his goal total next season.
