The MCC Wolves men's soccer team hosted Southwestern Illinois College in a hard-fought, tightly contested match. SWIC struck first, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime. Ten minutes into the second half, Colten Parsons, assisted by Armando Marotta, evened the score for MCC.
The Blue Storm regained the lead in the 70th minute, but the Wolves quickly responded with a goal in the 72nd minute. Just one minute later, a foul by MCC in the box gave SWIC a penalty kick, which they converted to take the lead once again.
Despite twice coming back to tie the game, MCC was unable to equalize a third time and ultimately fell 3-2.
The Wolves return to action on Wednesday, September 17th at 5:00 pm.
