Four MCC Wolves Earn All-Region 16 Honors
Four Metropolitan Community College Wolves players earned NJCAA honors after leading the program to a school record 14-win season. Sophomores Kylie Deason and Maddie Lalman earned All-NJCAA Region 16 First Team honors. Sophomore Lexie Nicholson and first-year player Kendall Marchio made the All-NJCAA Region 16 Second Team.
Kylie Deason anchored the team's defense, starting and playing in thirty-one games during her two-year career at MCC. As team captain, Kylie was a vocal and commanding presence for the Wolves team. Her defensive performances helped the Wolves post seven shutouts. She is currently looking at transfer options for 2025.
Maddie Lalman led the Wolves with goals (20) and assists (9). She started and played thirty-three games during her two-year career at MCC. Her explosive speed, dribbling and finishing ability produced seven multi-goal games. Maddie finished seventeenth in the nation with forty-nine points and has committed to play at MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2025.
Lexie Nicholson played outside back and defensive midfield for MCC. Her versatility and timely tackles made her instrumental to the team's success and +53 goal differential. Lexie started thirty-three games at MCC during her two-year career. She is exploring playing soccer and studying Radiology at Avila University for 2025.
Kendall Marchio played outside midfielder and forward for the Wolves during her first year. She was second on the team in scoring (12 goals) and points (29 points). Her explosive change of pace and strong finishing clinched the Region 16 win against St. Charles Community College, earning MCC an automatic bye into the regional semifinal.
