Metropolitan Community College put on a dominant performance after a slow start, defeating St. Louis Community College 3-1 during their Breast Cancer Awareness Game.
STLCC came out strong, narrowly taking the first set 25-23 with aggressive offense and tight defensive coverage. But MCC quickly responded, shifting the momentum in their favor with a commanding 25-12 win in the second set. The energy stayed high as MCC maintained control, winning the third and fourth sets 25-14 and 25-16.
MCC's offense clicked into gear thanks to standout performances from Kaylee Kindall, who tallied 12 kills and 2 aces, and Brooklynn Tonroy, who led the team with 13 kills. Defensively, Addsison McVicker held strong with 12 digs and a block, while Jenna Burroughs anchored the back row with an impressive 32 digs and 2 assists.
MCC will take on East Central College Saturday at 1pm.
